Welcome to the alpha version of Zenite - an educational tool for 13 to 16-year-olds that focuses on encouragement, collaboration and exploration.
Zenite is a self-organized learning environment that can be run with a supervisor and a group of students. The supervisor does not need to be informed on the subject as Zenite handles all answers and responses. Instead, supervisors are to encourage and motivate the students.
The intro (which is demoed in this alpha) is to be played to the full group of students as a warmup. Then, students will be split into small groups and work through their own given topic on their own. Once completed, students can assist other groups until all groups are completed. Following this, their answers will be fed back to the entire group and be used to inform the next full group section. This process would be completed again, where after all of their answers will come together to complete the overarching narrative.
Zenite encourages students to use all resources at their disposal to answer the questions - especially the internet! We believe digital literacy is critical in the modern world. Zenite allows students to not only build their knowledge of the given topic, but also improve their ability to use the internet effectively.
Zenite's topics focus around space, with this alpha demoing the intro of the narrative: "How could humans get to Mars?". Zenite would include a collection of narratives to build familiarity with these complex, yet highly interesting topics!
